Surviving your tax return

It’s that time of year again – as if to add an extra layer of misery to the traditional January blues, the tax office in its infinite wisdom has made 31 January the official deadline for filing your tax return.

But Fuel is here to help: our event on Monday 16 January is a practical workshop on how to get your tax return correct, complete and in on time. Sadly it’s already sold out, but look out for our coverage of the workshop next week, when we’ll share what we’ve learned from self-employment tax specialists and self-employed students.

In the meantime, take a look at our Fuel Basics article on self employment tax. It's a quick guide to all the things you should consider when sorting out your tax as a freelancer or self employed person.

Have you already been to one of our tax workshops, perhaps last year? We’d love to hear if it was helpful. Email fuel@rca.ac.uk and let us know how it was for you.
