A two-part event.
Antoinette Lemens will talk about creating your dream job. She'll cover topics like:
- How do I know what my dream job is?
- How do I find it?
- What if it doesn’t exist?
Then Ed Yeoman will lead a practical discussion on CV writing covering topics such as:
- What is a CV and what’s its purpose in today’s (creative) jobs market?
- What should be in it?
- How does it relate to an Artist’s Statement, a portfolio, a website etc?
- Are there any alternatives?
Antoinette began her career working for a design agency in London before joining the Concept Group in Paris. For 4 years she was responsible for visual identity and brand communication for the international Kenzo account.
She then became managing director of Novamark before creating her own international recruitment agency Jobs in Creation, specialising in design and marketing jobs within the creative sector. Antoinette's recent placements include the heads of design at Toyota and Carrefour.
Ed came to The Writer after two and a half years in integrated marketing (he's still not sure what that means), where he wrote for Lynx, New Look, Mates and 3M.
Now he spends most of his time writing about phones and talking about how there aren't enough Pret A Mangers in London. He's got a degree in history, a passing interest in facial hair, and his motto is ‘if it isn't surrounded by bread, it's not lunch'.
